Luisa Tambaro

A lyric voice
in the international opera scene.

There is a common thread running through the great roles of the operatic repertoire: a language in which Luisa Tambaro's warm timbre, burnished colour and full, luminous high notes find their natural expression. Her singing combines intensity and elegance, with a constant focus on the words and the music.

At the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, she has performed Elisabetta di Valois in «Don Carlo», conducted by Michele Mariotti; Violetta Valéry in «La traviata», under the baton of Renato Palumbo and broadcast live on Rai Radio3; and Lauretta in «Gianni Schicchi», conducted by Stefano Conticello and directed by Valentina Brunetti.

Her international debut came in 2018 as Mimì in «La Bohème» at the Daegu Opera House in South Korea. In Germany, she has performed Leonora in «Il Trovatore», the title role in «Luisa Miller» at Theater Koblenz, and Leonora di Vargas in «La forza del destino» at Staatstheater Kassel, in a production conducted by Francesco Angelico and directed by Valentin Schwarz.

She graduated in Singing from the "G.B. Martini" Conservatory in Bologna, where she studied with Marina Gentile, and holds a degree in Musicology from the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. She furthered her training at the Opera Studio of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

In 2026, she returns to the title role in «Luisa Miller» at Stadttheater Bremerhaven, Germany.
